The upper and inner material as well as the insole of our Haflinger crawling shoes consist of felt fabric made from pure new wool. New wool is a natural product and is sheared exclusively from living sheep. Through further processing steps (the felting process), the fabric becomes dense, warm, and cuddly soft: perfect for little baby feet!

Soft vegetable-tanned leather

For our crawling shoes, we also use exclusively vegetable-tanned leather. For the sole, we prefer suede leather because it is rougher and thus provides better grip on smooth floors. Additionally, due to its slightly larger pores, it is breathable and prevents little feet from sweating. And last but not least, the suede look simply appears high-quality and stylish!

Thus, the baby’s foot is surrounded exclusively by natural materials! For easy putting on and taking off, the shoe is held on the foot with an elastic band that still promises enough support!

Proper care

Especially for toddlers, hygiene is an important factor for parents. With Haflinger, you don’t have to worry much about this because the materials we use practically clean themselves! Yes, you read that right: wool felt fabric can usually be cleaned by airing out in fresh air.

For stains or heavier dirt, you can gently wipe Haflinger crawling shoes with a soft brush or cloth—but washing machines and dryers should be avoided, as excessive heat can damage the natural material!
