Only the best for your feet. With shoes from Haflinger, you can rely on impeccable quality in materials and craftsmanship. We use natural raw materials from selected suppliers. The premium raw materials are processed traditionally in Europe. Every shoe contains the skill and warmth of our dedicated employees.

Boiled Wool Fabrics

Processing

To guarantee you the premium quality of our boiled wool fabrics, we simply produce them ourselves. Made from pure new wool, sheared exclusively from living sheep. We knit the wool and treat it with a special washing process involving moisture, friction, and heat. This so-called fulling process creates the dense, warming fabric that makes Haflinger shoes so cozy.

Properties

  • Natural Thermoregulation: The processed new wool can absorb water while repelling it on the surface. Up to 33% of the dry weight can be absorbed without the wool feeling damp.
  • Self-cleaning & Dirt-repellent: The special surface structure ensures that wool products stay clean for a long time.
  • Breathable & Odor-resistant: Natural new wool hardly absorbs odors.
  • Wrinkle-free & Colorfast: Boiled wool fabrics retain color and shape even after long use.
  • Heat & Cold Insulating: New wool provides an optimal climate on the skin.

Wool Felts

Processing

We source our pure wool felts from renowned manufacturers. Using moisture, pressure, and heat, the wool is transformed into robust felt fabric. Gentle treatment preserves the natural properties of the wool.

Smooth Leather

Processing

Haflinger clogs and sandals are made from various types of leather. Smooth leather is used on the outside, treated gently, and then further processed by hand.

  • Easy to Care For: Simple cleaning and maintenance.
  • Breathable: Ensures a comfortable foot climate.

Suede Leather

Processing

There are two types of suede leather: Nubuck leather impresses with an especially soft, velvety surface created by gentle sanding during processing. Our velour leather is sanded more heavily, making the surface a bit rougher but increasing the breathability of the pores and giving it the characteristic suede look. Through Haflinger's artisanal finishing, our suede leathers develop their wonderful natural properties especially well.

Properties

  • Breathable: Due to the sanding, Haflinger suede leather has a very open-pored surface, allowing moisture to evaporate better. To maintain this, it requires some care.
  • Soft Surface: Nubuck and velour leather feel velvety soft—more like a fine fabric than classic leather.
  • Elastic & Comfortable: Soft and elastic, our suede leather adapts wonderfully to your foot while still allowing plenty of freedom of movement.

Footbeds

Processing

Haflinger's self-developed cork-latex footbeds incorporate extensive medical know-how and decades of customer feedback. This has resulted in footbeds that offer maximum wearing comfort.

By the way: Some models are also available with removable footbeds or insoles. You can easily replace these with your individual orthopedic inserts.

Properties

  • Flexible Foam Inlay: The soft bedding is equipped with a pre-shaped foam inlay. Thanks to countless enclosed air bubbles, it adapts individually to your foot.
  • Anatomically Shaped Footbed: The shape of the Haflinger footbed is precisely matched to the anatomy of the foot, guiding it naturally during each step.
  • Supportive Contact Surface: The entire contact surface features transverse and longitudinal indentations and elevations. These support your foot, absorb shocks, and increase comfort.
  • Stimulating Wearing Sensation: The special sole design activates your foot muscles, stimulates circulation, and promotes a healthy foot climate.

Grizzly

Firm support in a comfortable shoe. The anatomical shape of the cork-latex footbed developed by Haflinger supports the foot at every point.

Hut Shoe

Cozy soft but with enough support. The gentle soles of our hut shoes cushion your foot on natural wool. A non-slip latex coating ensures a firm stand.

Walk

Immediate foot sensation gently supported. Thanks to the wool felt sole, you feel the ground. Your foot is guided naturally during each step but still protected.
